Congratulations to our AchievAble graduates

Beaming with well-deserved pride were Wayne, Ben, Glenyss, Lauren, Rachael, and Trevor. The graduates were given a special morning tea hosted by their manager at AchievAble, Operations Manager Commercial, Leanne Larche where Chief Executive Officer, Jo-Anne Hewitt, and Chief Operations Officer, Daniel Kyriacou handed out their certificates and their hearty congratulations.

AchievAble is Achieve Australia’s successful social enterprise based at Newington in Sydney that specialises in ‘pack and send’ services. AchievAble currently employs 60 people with disability offering them meaningful work, training, and employment development.

In 2022, Leanne started working on a plan to offer team members the opportunity to gain a nationally accredited qualification as part of their employment development.

Discussions with employees and their families established that on-site training was preferred. After careful consideration, the Registered Training Organisation, BSI Learning, was selected for its teaching success and passion for social inclusion.

In all, 9 students started the Cert III in February 2023. Classes were held on-site each Monday and continued over a year. Leanne is now working on the next training offering for the AchievAble team.

In the meantime, everyone at Achieve says “well done” to our AchievAble graduates 2024!
