About Achieve Australia
Achieve is a for-purpose community organisation that has been providing accommodation and services to people with disability since 1952. We champion social inclusion, focusing on the individual needs and lives of the people we support.
As an NDIS-registered provider, Achieve delivers expert disability support services in greater Sydney, Northern Rivers regions of NSW and South East Queensland.
Our Passion is social inclusion for people with disability. This means that people with disability feel like they belong.
Our Purpose is to build extraordinary lives, supporting people with disability to be well, have a home, choose a career, learn new skills, participate in their community and enjoy a full life. This means people with disability love their lives.
About inclusive governance
Inclusive governance means making sure people with lived experience of disability are involved in decisions that affect them.
At Achieve Australia, inclusive governance is about removing barriers, sharing decision-making, and creating real opportunities for people with disability to influence how our organisation works, now and into the future.

Purpose of the Membership
Achieve Australia is a Company Limited by Guarantee. This means we have members who govern and make decisions about the organisation and makes sure it is doing what it is supposed to be doing, as we say in our constitution.
A new Membership structure has been created to open up Achieve’s governance so people with lived experience of disability can take part in decision-making in a meaningful and supported way.
This introduces a new Membership group that allows people with lived experience to volunteer as Members andcontribute to decisions that matter, without taking on the legal responsibilities of a Board Director.
It supports Achieve’s commitment to inclusion, respect, and elevating the voices of people with disability.
There will be a Special General Meeting held online in early May. This will be the first time all Members will get together.
