Acknowledgement of Country

Achieve Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded.

Why this RAP matters

  • A Reflect RAP is the starting point in the RAP framework - designed to get policies, people and partners ready for long-term action.
  • Nearly one-in-four First Nations people live with disability; culturally safe supports are still limited.
  • Embedding reconciliation inside Achieve makes our inclusion mission stronger and more effective.
  • Reflect RAP formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, February 2025.

Our four pillars

Social

Relationships

Build and strengthen connections with First Nations communities.

Health

Respect

Deepen cultural understanding through learning, protocols and celebrating NAIDOC week.

Support Coordination

Opportunities

Increase First Nations employment and supplier diversity.

Work

Governance

Drive progress through a RAP Working Group and develop the next RAP.

Partnership with YarnnUp

We’re guided by YarnnUp, an Aboriginal-owned consultancy whose blend of Aboriginal philosophy and contemporary neuroscience helps our 1,300-strong workforce grow cultural intelligence and self-efficacy.

Artwork Story

The artwork Lives Lived tells the story of Achieve Australia’s commitment to reconciliation, belonging, and support. It reflects the shared journeys of clients, staff, and communities, united under Achieve Australia’s vision of inclusivity, cultural safety, and continuous learning.

At its heart lies a central circle, symbolising Our People - the clients who form the foundation of Achieve Australia. Surrounding yarning circles represent the broader community and the collaborative spirit that drives the organisation, highlighting how Achieve brings people and groups together to achieve shared goals of care and empowerment.
