On Sunday 15 September, the sun was shining brightly as Achieve Australia Casino Fun Run took over the picturesque streets of Casino. From 8 to 10:30 am at Queen Elizabeth Park, participants from all corners of the Northern Rivers and beyond came all pumped and ready to go. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as runners, walkers, stroller-pushers, and even dogs joined in on the fun.

This year, Achieve Australia took on the role of Naming Rights Partner, joining organisers Olympian Scott Westcott and 2 X Paralympian Katie Kelly’s mission of making the Casino Fun Run the most inclusive in the country.

Everywhere you looked, there were people of all ages and abilities - from school kids and babies in strollers to pets and participants in wheelchairs. Participants in the all-abilities category received medals for finishing in the top 3 in their age groups, and everyone went home with a Bundjalung-branded cap and medal.

“It's been 11 years since Scotty and I started Casino Fun Run to help kids and people with disabilities enjoy the benefits of sport. I'm thrilled that this year's event had the highest turnout yet, with runners from all over Northern Rivers enjoying our fully accessible 10k, 5k, and 2k courses.” Katie Kelly OAM PLY said. “I’d like to thank all the volunteers, participants, and all our partners and sponsors for making this amazing event come to life”.
