A message from Jo-Anne Hewitt, Chief Executive Officer

Achieve Australia acknowledges the result of the Voice referendum as part of our democratic process in Australia.

While the Referendum was defeated, we remain hopeful and supportive of all efforts to achieve reconciliation with First Australians and to close the gap of disadvantage. We will continue to build our capability to deliver culturally safe services to First Australians with disability and ensure we are a welcoming employer to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job candidates and employees.

We acknowledge those who extended the invitation of love, acceptance and inclusion through the Uluru Statement from the Heart and who are now feeling hurt by the result of the Referendum. Achieve Australia stands with the significant number of organisations and individuals who value, respect, and care about First Australians and will continue to work alongside them to create a better future.
