Karen and Sharon’s story is here to tell you how our vacancies at Achieve are more than a house.

Thank you so much for all that you do for Lena. She is so much happier these days and truly enjoying life. Before Achieve, she didn’t have much of a life beyond home.

Just my husband and I.He’s happy and I’m happy. Yeah, I love my support workers… They’ve been helping me. Without them we wouldn’t have gone anywhere; we would have been on our own without the workers.

What Achieve is amazing at is consistency of service. They’re very flexible as well. Carers are really good at observing and bringing feedback; supportive rather than judgmental, looking beyond the behaviour to what function it serves.

I’ve known Sharon for 6 months. She’s my best friend ever.

Achieve Australia helped me move. I was very happy to move in. I was surprised to get this house.
I work with Age of Australia as a cleaner. I clean at the shop, at Araluen and then head office.
David
I wanted to live by myself. I make my own lunch, and make my own breakfast. It was a really easy move.

I like living in Araluen. We like Crowle Estate.
Robyn and Susan
When I moved to the house, I had lost my father and so he just sort of moved in. I'm very happy here.
Chris
I'm Rob. I live by myself in a unit at Hornsby. I enjoy living by myself because I like to cook. I love to paint and I sold one of my paintings.
Rob's a really independent person that likes to achieve his goals. Basically, we've been there as stagehands supporting Rob in all of his ventures, whether it's finding a job, going to TAFE, or his travel training.
