Welcome to our Supported Independent Living service in Dundas, where four male housemates aged 40-72 enjoy a fulfilling and active lifestyle. Our service is designed to meet the individual needs of each resident, providing a blend of accessibility, community engagement, and tailored support.

Life at Dundas 

The guys at Dundas enjoy a beautiful setting with nice gardens and vegetable patches, which they love to maintain. They are about to plant the garden for winter, and can’t wait to see what grows in the cooler months. The home features two lounge rooms, allowing everyone to socialise together or enjoy some quiet time separately.

Community and Activities 

Housemates in Dundas love to go out as a group for waterfront walks, sightseeing, and exploring new areas. They often go out for lunch together and participate in various day programs and shared activities. Music is a big part of life here, with weekly in-house music therapy sessions every Monday. The housemates' favourite music includes hits from The Beatles and ABBA.

Support model

This Dundas home has a team of dedicated staff, from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that each resident's individual clinical and behavioural needs are met whilst fostering a sense of community. We offer registered nursing support, along with assistance from Senior Support Workers, Support Workers, and Assistance in Nursing staff. We also have regular in-house GP visits and behaviour support plans tailored to each client ensure comprehensive care.

Cultural and Social Engagement 

Our staff and residents enjoy cultural diversity, often coming together for gala dinners featuring various cuisines. Everyone loves to try foods from around the world whilst sharing stories and hanging out.
