15th Annual Needlecraft Sale and Bazaar CANCELLED
Due to recent storm damage to the Dulcie Johnston Hall, we have unfortunately had to cancel this event. This is very disappointing for the organisers and management at Achieve Australia, but it seems that Mother Nature had other things planned. However, we will keep you informed about any future sales taking place.
Save The Date!
On Thursday 29 November 2012 we will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of Achieve Australia at a special dinner event.
Families, previous staff members and people from the local community are invited.
While details are yet to be confirmed, you can express your interest for the dinner and secure a seat (or table) by emailing us at events@achieveaustralia.org.au.
Making Music
One of the programs currently being run at Day Programs is the Songwriting program. This is being run for our musically-talented participants and they have already produced two songs so far called ‘I’m going to be big in 2012’ and ‘At the disco’.
The singers have already been secured for our Annual Charity Golf Day on 30 August 2012.

Achieve Australia is a strong supporter of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
We recently attended the Sydney 'Make it Real' Rally on 30 April 2012 to show our support!
Julia Gillard was quoted as saying - “Today I can announce that in the May Budget, my Government, your Labor Government will fund our share for the launch of the National Disability Insurance Scheme”.
Plus - check out our videos from people with disability and staff!
The latest Every Australian Counts campaign invites people from across the nation to create videos highlighting the importance of an NDIS and the benefits for people with disability in Australia.
The people we support and staff have gotten involved by being featured in a series of videos.
To celebrate our 60th year, please support us via our new online fundraising campaigns!

Araluen Respite Appeal
Achieve Australia purchased the beautiful heritage-listed building, Araluen, in April 2011 with the dream of developing it into a new Day Program facility and weekend Respite.
While our Day Programs have successfully transitioned into the complex, the next step is to establish the Respite; but we need your help.
2012 marks 60 years since Achieve Australia and its predecessor organisations, The Crowle Foundation and Achieve Foundation, began making a difference in the lives of people with disability and their families.
To celebrate our 60th anniversary, you are invited to make a donation to our organisation. Every little bit counts towards making an even better future for people with disability.
In lieu of gifts for milestone events, you might like to ask guests to make a donation towards the programs and services we provide for people with disability.
It’s a win-win situation; you and your guests feel great about contributing towards a good cause, and thepeople we support benefit from your generosity!
Often the family and friends of a loved one, whose lives may have been touched by someone with disability, choose to celebrate their memory in a very special way.
Achieve Australia welcomes these heart-felt donations in the honour of lives lost.
