Achieve Australia has welcomed Jo-Anne Hewitt as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer set to lead the organisation into the future.
Ms Hewitt started on August 26 bringing more than 35 years of experience in the disability and not-for-profit sector to the role. In recent times, she has led transformative organisational projects under the NDIS and guided teams through periods of significant growth and change.
“I’m really excited to join the team at Achieve Australia and look forward to leading the organisation through what has been a period of substantial growth and transformation,” Ms Hewitt said.
Previously, Ms Hewitt worked as Executive Director Disability at the Benevolent Society where she was responsible for overseeing the transition of more than 700 staff into the organisation from Family and Community Service (FACS).
“I’m passionate about providing the highest standards of disability services under the NDIS and creating more opportunities for people with disability to live their best life in the community,” Ms Hewitt said.
Chairman of Achieve Australia, Richard Dinham, says Ms Hewitt is a welcome addition to the team, bringing considerable experience and enthusiasm to the role.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Jo-Anne as we embark on an exciting future at Achieve Australia,” said Mr Dinham.
“Jo-Anne brings with her not only substantial experience in leading teams and transformational change, but also a sense of energy and a strong commitment to supporting people with disability and their families,” he said.
As Achieve Australia embarks on an exciting new leadership chapter with Ms Hewitt, the people we support and their families will continue to remain at the forefront of everything we do.
