Terms and Conditions

Artful is an inclusive arts competition held by Achieve Australia Limited (ABN 49 133 306 902) in collaboration with Accessible Arts (ABN 48 116 402 192). Entrants can make submissions into any of the following categories:

  • Painting

  • Drawing

  • 3D

  • Mixed Media

  • Textiles

  • Photography


Where will the exhibition be held?

The Artful Art Prize exhibition is a hybrid online gallery and physical exhibition. This is to make the exhibition as accessible to as many people as possible. All submissions are displayed on the online gallery, and finalist and winning artworks will be displayed at a physical exhibition.

The competition opens for submissions on 1 June 2026 and closes for submissions on 30 June 2026, with winners announced 31 July 2026 through the Artful website. There will be one (1) winner selected for each category and one (1) runner up selected for each category. The winner for each category will win a $1000.00 (AUD) Eckersley's gift voucher and the runner up for each category will win a $250.00 (AUD) Eckersley's gift voucher.

The terms and conditions for submissions to Artful are outlined below:

  1. Eligibility and Entry Requirements
    1. By submitting an artwork, the entrant confirms that the work is their own original creation and does not infringe the rights (including copyright, moral rights, or privacy rights) of any other person.
    2. Entrants must have the legal right to submit the artwork. If the entrant is under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to the submission.
    3. Each entrant may submit artwork in the categories specified by the organiser. Entries must comply with any technical or format requirements published for the competition.
  2. Ownership of Artwork
    1. Entrants retain full ownership and copyright in their submitted artwork.
    2. Entrants acknowledge that Achieve Australia and Accessible Arts require certain usage rights to administer the competition, judge entries, and promote the event.
  3. Licence to Use Artwork
    1. By submitting an artwork, the entrant grants the organiser and Accessible Arts a non exclusive, royalty free, worldwide licence to:
    2. This licence is limited to activities connected with the competition and its promotion.
    3. Achieve Australia will credit the artist wherever the artwork is used, unless it is impracticable to do so.
  4. Judging and prizes
    1. All entries will be assessed by judges appointed by Accessible Arts.
    2. Judging decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging decisions.
    3. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
  5. Publication and Artful Booklet
    1. Achieve Australia intends to produce a booklet featuring images of all submitted artworks.
    2. By entering, the entrant consents to their artwork being included in the booklet, along with their name and artwork title.
    3. Achieve Australia may make the booklet available in print, digital, or accessible formats.
  6. Personal Information
    1. Personal information collected as part of the submission process will be used only for administering the competition, contacting entrants, and publishing credits.
    2. By entering, the entrants acknowledge and agree that Achieve Australia will collect certain personal information specifically, first name, last name, and any social media handles voluntarily provided at the time of entry unless the entrant is under the age of 18 years.

  7. Withdrawal of Entries
  8. Liability
    1. Achieve Australia will take reasonable care of submitted artworks but is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of any artwork.
    2. Entrants are responsible for delivery, damage, insurance, and packaging upon delivery of the Artwork.
    3. Achieve Australia is not responsible for returning entries to Artists.
  9. Sale of Works
  10. Acceptance of Terms
  1. reproduce, publish, and display the artwork for the purposes of judging the competition;
  2. reproduce the artwork in a printed or digital booklet featuring all submissions;
  1. use the artwork in promotional materials relating to the competition, including social media, websites, reports, and exhibitions;
  2. publicly display the artwork at events associated with the competition.

7.1 Entrants may request withdrawal of their artwork from the competition before judging commences.

7.2 Once judging or publication processes have begun, withdrawal may not be possible.

9.1 Achieve Australia is not a party to, and accepts no responsibility or liability for, any sale, negotiation, or commercial arrangement relating to an artwork submitted to the competition. Achieve Australia does not guarantee or facilitate any sales arising from participation in Artful or inclusion in the Artful booklet.

10.1 By submitting an artwork, the entrant confirms they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
