More Than a Fabric Store
The Sewing Basket is a social enterprise of Achieve Australia, giving donated fabrics, sewing supplies and craft materials a second life while creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability.
Every purchase supports inclusion, sustainability and stronger communities.
About Achieve
Our passion is social inclusion for people with disability.
Achieve Australia is a for-purpose community organisation, providing expert, complex disability support since 1952.
Volunteer at The Sewing Basket
Our volunteers help with customer service, sorting donations, displaying stock and day-to-day tasks around the store.
If you have retail experience, sewing or craft skills, or simply enjoy working with people, we’d love to hear from you.

Donations
Have fabric, yarn, patterns or craft supplies you no longer need? Donate them to The Sewing Basket so they can be used and enjoyed again.
Your donations help stock our stores, reduce waste and support employment opportunities for people with disability.
