The Hubs will transfer to Achieve Australia and continue to operate supports and programs.
Achieve recognises the importance of retaining as many team members as possible however not all roles will transfer. If your role is not transferring, the People and Culture Manager will be in touch for further consultation. For roles that are transferring, Achieve will communicate next steps about their recruitment and onboarding sessions at upcoming information sessions and 1:1 meetings.
If you are not made an offer of employment with Achieve Australia or if the offer made is not a “like for like” or suitable redeployment offer, and your employment entitles you to a redundancy, you will receive a redundancy package.
The detail of this package will be discussed during your individual consultation meeting with the People and Culture Manager.
If your position has been identified for redundancy, your final day of employment with Focal will be Sunday 2nd August 2026. It is our expectation that our team members will continue in their roles until this date to ensure continuity of service for our clients.
If you elect to resign from your position or decline a “like for like” offer with Achieve Australia, redundancy will not apply.
For transferring support workers, your length of service with Focal will be recognised and transferred across to Achieve as will all leave balances including personal leave, annual leave and long service leave.
As far as practically possible, work locations and rosters will remain the same to minimise any disruption to services.
We have confirmed with Employment Hero that exiting employees will retain view-only access to their own historical payslips and compliance documents. In saying this, we strongly recommend employees download any information they may need as a back-up.
Focal will continue to normal operations and service delivery until full transition to Achieve Australia which will be 3rd August 2026.
Yes Achieve have committed to maintaining support worker pay rate, classification, contract hours of transferring employees.

Achieve is offering roles to as many Focal support workers as possible and it is Achieve’s goal to continue services as clients currently experience then.
Most group programs and services will remain in place however school-based programs, and our support coordination services will not transfer to Achieve and will cease at the end of June 2026.
The Focal name and legacy will remain part of the story of service provision in Ipswich. Employees will be employed by Achieve Australia Limited and Service Agreements with clients will also be in the name of Achieve Australia. It is Achieve’s intention to migrate all branding to Achieve as quickly as possible, while respecting the story of Focal’s contribution to the community over the last 50 years.
