My Life, My Say is a life-skills learning program co-designed by young people with disability, their families and staff that support them. The program gives young people aged 18 to 30 the skills to build confidence, make friends and develop practical skills for everyday life. The program focuses on real-world learning, self-determination, social and emotional development, and supportive teaching.

How is the program taught?
There is a mix of on-campus and community learning to give you foundational knowledge and support you to implement your new skills. Courses are practical and supportive. Learning focuses on real-world skills, confidence and social connection.

An external evaluation of the pilot found positive changes in connection, confidence and choice. Participants built social skills, made friends, and felt more confident expressing their needs.

Yes. Funding is accessible through Core Supports. My Life, My Say supports NDIS goals around independence, communication, and social and community participation.
How long are the courses?
Each course goes for 12 weeks. Course length and schedules may vary by location and to meet the needs of learners.
