For Jobseekers

Achieve Employment is a no-cost service to assist jobseekers with a disability, injury or a health condition.

We assist you to:

  • develop a career path
  • learn job interview skills
  • build a professional resume
  • apply for jobs
  • be matched with a job of your choice
  • receive individualised trainingon the job

We also help with enrolment in training courses, traineeships and apprenticeships and offer ongoing support in the workplace to help you keep your job.

Eligibility Criteria for Jobseekers

You need to:

  • have a disability, injury or health condition
  • be 18 years or over and can be a school leaver
  • be exited from any other Commonwealth funded programs that funds the provision of services to Achieve Employment participants
  • have a proof of identity
  • be able to travel independently

Job in Jeopardy

We offer a no-cost service for workers who are at risk of losing their job. One of our Employment Consultants will assess your skills and job requirements. Your Consultant will provide further training opportunities, retraining or renegotiate the job requirements with your employer.

Gokul has a dream to work in the Warehouse and Logistics IndustryAchieving in the Workplace

Gokul Shankar is on his way to achieving his long term career goal. Since starting in Achieve Employment in January 2010, Gokul has aspired to work in the Warehouse and Logistics Industry.

His dream is starting to become a reality. After developing his customer service skills working part-time at Hungry Jack’s, Gokul was rewarded for his hard work and positive attitude with the opportunity to do work placement as a storeperson at a transport company. Gokul’s responsibilities included packing pallets and administration work. He also gained his forklift licence as a result of the experience, which will assist him in gaining employment in the future.
